Copy one of Van Gogh’s works or bring your own image to
We'll learn how to layer paint using shortened brush strokes to mimic Van Gogh, and discuss how to translate the style into your own works.
They'll be a range of canvas sizes to choose from, Options include 8 x 10, 9 x 12, or 11 x 14
You are welcome to bring your own surface or larger size canvas, but note that you may not be able to finish a larger piece in the time allotted.Paints
There will be a range of colors available. If you have specific colors that you know you wan tot use you are encouraged to bring them
Brushes
If you have speciality brushes that you prefer you are encouraged to bring them.
What to Bring:
A printed photo reference of the landscape or scene you want to paint. If you do not have access to a printer please email your image ahead of the class time. There will also be references of Van Gogh’s paintings available at the studio.
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on or bring an apron.
Feel free to bring any beverages or snacks.
