Learn to paint a Landscape!

In this workshop series you'll learn how to breakdown a landscape painting from a reference image, while picking up basic painting skills and techniques. Both beginners and intermediate level painters are welcome as we explore fundamental concepts for creating your own masterpieces.

Students can expect to finish a painting within the allotted time if working with a smaller canvas size or bring a larger canvas each session to continually work on and get assistance with.

Artist and Breeze & Branch owner Liesl Meissner will be painting along with you, providing live instructional demos, answering group questions and offer one-on-one guidance.

You’ll receive informational handouts on landscape paintings basics, and receive customized help on how to tackle your own images.

This workshop includes the use of:

• Stretched Canvas or Panel to keep of your finsihed works 

  • Options are 8 x 10, 9 x 12, or 11 x 14

    • You are welcome to bring your own surface

• A range of brushes are available to use, I recommend bringing your own if you have favorites

• Pencil

• Acrylic Paint. If you are bringing your own I suggest having at least:

  • Titanium White

  • Cadmium Red Medium Hue

  • Cadmium Yellow Medium Hue

  • Violet

  • Phathlo Blue

  • Phthalo Green

  • and Mars Black.

• Paint Palette or Plate

- Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on or bring an apron.

- Feel free to bring any beverages or snacks.
