Introduction to Acrylic Painting Workshop

With its quick dry times and diverse range in textures working with acrylic is a great way to learn the fundamentals of painting. If you’ve never painted before or never used acrylics, this workshop will introduce you to the basics of creating your own masterpieces.
In this workshop we’ll talk about color mixing and theory, how to create volume and depth with the paints, and put our learned skills to work by painting a landscape.
Workshops are limited to 4 participants a session
In the first half of the workshop we’ll explore the range of textures possible with acrylic paint, and learn about color mixing. We’ll have a brief intermission halfway through the class and in the second half we’ll but our new found knowledge into creating a landscape painting.
All materials will be provided.
You’ll receive a set of basic acrylic paint colors and introductory brushes to take home.
Additional materials will be available for use during the workshop.
Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on or bring an apron. We'll be using acrylic paints that can stain clothes if not cleaned quickly.
Feel free to bring any beverages or snacks.
After the completion of the workshop you’ll be qualified to sign up for the Private Sessions where you can come to the studio for assistance in creating your own works.
