In this workshop we'll get into the nitty gritty of painting with moody colors, textures, and themes.

Both beginners and intermediate level painters are welcome as we explore fundamental concepts for creating your own abstract masterpieces. We’ll discuss the importance of texture, color balance, and brushwork in how to convey imagery and emotion.
Students can expect to finish a painting within the allotted time if working with a smaller canvas size or get a hearty start on a larger canvas.
Artist and Breeze & Branch owner Liesl Meissner will be painting along with you, providing live instructional demos, answering group questions and offer one-on-one guidance.
You’ll receive informational handouts basics, and receive customized help on how to tackle your own images.
This class is limited to 4 participants at a time.
This class fee also comes with a bonus hour to use at Open Studio times. Just incase you want to come back and work on your painting a little more after the workshop.
Workshop materials that are provided:
16” x 20"
You are welcome to bring your own surface or larger size canvas, but note that you may not be able to finish a larger piece in the time allotted.
Paints
There will be a range of colors available. If you have specific colors that you know you wan tot use you are encouraged to bring them
Brushes
If you have speciality brushes that you prefer you are encouraged to bring them.
Pencils
Painters tape
Paint palettes and mixing plates
What to Bring:
Any images for reference or inspiration
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on or bring an apron.
Feel free to bring any beverages or snacks.
